Plague Sequence present dancefloor oriented music with a futuristic prose, fusing cold synth patterns and sweeping atmospherics, drawing heavily from the psytrance and futuristic techno genres.
Originally from Sydney, Australia, the project consists of Pete Crane, who now lives in London. Pete is known for making the music for trip hop/EBM act The Crystalline Effect, whose debut album Glass was released by Polish label Black Flames Records in 2005. The Crystalline Effect has a new album and EP scheduled for release in 2007 through Hungary’s Advoxya Records. Pete is also an active remix-artist having remixed internationally renowned artists (including Implant, among others) and has DJed extensively under the moniker “Virulent” throughout Australia.
Plague Sequence has played live in several Australian cities at outdoor psytrance festivals as well as underground clubs in a headlining capacity as well as supporting acts including Broken Toy (Alchemy Records). Although a few early Plague Sequence demo tracks have leaked onto the internet and been heard in clubs since the project’s inception in 2004, Plague Sequence is currently completing an official debut album for release in 2007 through Sector 9 Studios, exploring the boundaries of psytrance and techno with an industrial influence.

I uploaded a few more tracks from the Discarded Technology (2007) album here. If you're familiar with the album there's nothing new, but certainly new for this site. |
